Circle line - The not very magic roundabout

Can someone tell me how a train set that just goes round in circles can be as crap as the circle line. Often when I change from district to circle at monument at 8 am the interval is 5 plus minutes and this morning it was 7. This is not acceptable for the rush hour!. There were plenty of district line trains so I knew the track had'nt disappeared.

The ticket office at the Warwick road end of Earls court station is closed until further notice. Oh thats alright then. Just another example of deterioration of the service (did I say service?)

I suppose I should be thankful that in the light of the current security levels we dont have to travel naked. Not that I am worried for myself but I certainly wouldnt want the lady that was spilling over into my seat and the one on the other side of her this morning to be naked.

Coz i know its only rolling stock but we hate it

The Circle line runs a 13 train, train service.

6 on the inner rail and 7 on the outer rail, as it take between an hour and an hour and 5 minutes to do a complete circuit thats not a bad average, plus the circle line has to run in sync with the H&C and District lines and has to slot into there timetables as well.

So if a H&C or District is running late the Circle has to wait for that train to pass through, unless the service is completely buggered.

You might find that the closure of the Warwick Road Ticket Office (very useful unless you like walking the long way round to the other side) is part of the continued closure of ticket offices, with the next "massive" set of closures due to be announced at the end of this year. As soon as I know, I will post here....

Thought I would also add that when the Hammersmith and Shitty Line was closed the other weekend for engineering work in connection with a new station at White City/Wood Lane, no work was done AT ALL. So thousands of Londoners/Tourists were put out for no benefit. A bit like here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4927160.stm only this time Metromess were not to blame.

Just to add about the Circle Line, yes the service is poor, however there are other trains (District/Met/H&C) serving circle line stations. It is usually quicker to use another line for journeys like Victoria-Paddington like the Victoria and Bakerloo. Circle line trains should run every 8.5 mins, but because of the number of junctions trains get held at, more often than not this gap gets bigger, plus they often get sent to Hammersmith if an H&C train is cancelled (as H&C customers have no other alternative) or because of late running.
